We are excited to offer a position for a full-time permanent Assistant Revenues and Inspection Officer.

Day to day

You will be joining a busy and friendly team maintaining Direct Debit payments, tracing non-payers, working through system generated reports and providing general support to the Revenues Teams.

The Revenues Team deal with Council Tax, Business Rates and Housing Benefit Overpayment accounts. Working within the Shared Revenues Partnership, you will be providing administrative support for three Local Authorities: Babergh, Ipswich and Mid Suffolk.

We are based at Grafton House, Russell Road, Ipswich, and we offer the option of home-working for part of the working week.

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.

About you

GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications

Experience of using email, word processing and spreadsheets

Ability to organise, prioritise, analyse and work on your own initiative

Good communication skills and a strong customer focus

Ability to approach work flexibly with a can-do attitude

Experience of using Revenues and Benefits software systems is desirable
