This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives on improving processes, supporting teams, and ensuring that operational and administrative services run smoothly and efficiently.

As Business Support Manager, you will provide operational leadership to a team of Business Support Officers and Systems Administrators. You will play a key role in ensuring effective administrative services, maintaining and developing specialist IT systems, managing business processes, supporting organisational priorities, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing business support team.
  • Managing administrative and business support functions supporting Tenancy Services, Housing Options and Public Protection.
  • Maintaining and developing specialist IT systems used by Tenancy Services, Housing Options and Public Protection.
  • Reviewing and improving systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Monitoring performance and ensuring service standards are achieved.
  • Supporting Heads of Service and Managers with operational planning and delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Educated to HND/NVQ5 level + 3 years’ experience in relevant field
  • Significant experience in business support, administration, or operational management.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities.
  • Experience of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Confidence in using business systems.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused service delivery.

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.

This is a hybrid working role (a minimum of 2 days per week working in the office).
