We are seeking a Full Time Business Support Officer to join our busy Leasehold Service Team. Working 5 days per week Monday to Friday, to ensure the effective administration of the Leasehold Service.

What’s involved with this role:

To provide full administrative support to the Service Group including updating documentation and ICT systems; raising purchase orders and invoices; supporting the production of annual charges; producing documentation and booking appointments for customers.

Be the first point of contact for Leasehold enquiries offering advice and signposting for Leaseholders seeking assistance. Handling initial responses to service charge related queries, disputes relating to the quality and extent of service and work, the calculation and apportionment of charges. Investigating and responding to correspondence liaising with the relevant teams and council departments as appropriate and referring complex cases to the Leasehold Manager.

To support the debt recovery process by carrying out tasks relating to the control and monitoring of arrears.

Assisting with leaseholder consultation on qualifying works and long-term agreements in accordance with Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 (as amended).

Process and respond to queries or requests from Right to Buy applications by offering advice, assistance, or information at any point in the process.

Process Legal Service notices and applications within agreed procedures and timescales.

Assisting the Leasehold Manager in investigating and resolving breach of lease cases and where required the preparation of case work for legal action in the County Court or First Tier Tribunal hearings to ensure targets and timescales are met.

Work in partnership with our Surveyors, Repairs and Maintenance Teams in the prevention, detection and remedying of building defects and associated matters.

About you

You will have 1 A Level or 5 GCSEs, or an NVQ Level 3-, or 2-years qualitative experience as well as being used to dealing with members of the public, have good computer and communications skills and demonstrate a customer-focussed and responsive approach that improves service delivery.
