Civil Enforcement Officer 

Full-time Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast paced and growing Parking Services Team. We are looking to recruit 2 Civil Enforcement Officers who will primarily be responsible for ensuring that parking regulations are enforced and that this results in reduced congestion across the Town and surrounding areas, enabling a vibrant and welcoming parking environment.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast paced and growing Parking Services Team. We are looking to recruit 2 Civil Enforcement Officers who will primarily be responsible for ensuring that parking regulations are enforced and that this results in reduced congestion across the Town and surrounding areas, enabling a vibrant and welcoming parking environment.

Day to day

The role is primarily enforcing parking regulations through the issuing of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs). This can be in restricted parking areas, car parks, on street pay and display parking bays and residents parking zones. The role also involves carrying out immobilisation or removal of vehicles that are in contravention.  

The role will involve working outdoors in all weathers covering all terrains. Patrolling will take place on foot or by use of company fleet.

The role follows a 3-week shift pattern covering operational hours of the service, which can include some evenings and weekends during this rota pattern.

About You

We are looking for people who are assertive and polite in all dealings with members of the public and who can demonstrate previous experience of their ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations.

Applicants must hold a clean, full driving licence for this role.

This position is subject to an enhanced DBS.
