About you
We are looking for someone to join the Facilities team who is hard working, methodical and dedicated who brings energy and enthusiasm to the service. This role involves a variety of duties including running the postal service for Grafton House & Council outstations. Setting up meeting rooms, accepting deliveries, dispatching mail and checking the electric pool car fleet on a weekly basis.
Working with the Assistant Facilities Officer and assisting team members can be regarded as standard, but the role is varied, rewarding and by no means routine. In addition, Facilities maintain the operational running of the records store, providing internal customers with access to securely stored records.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in health and safety related areas to ensure safe working practices are followed. They will also be expected to be self-motivated, flexible and have good interpersonal skills to engage well with customers, staff and members of the public.
Candidates will hold a current, full and clean driving licence for ad hoc driving deliveries where required and be able to undertake manual handling tasks.
You will work 37 hours per week, start times will vary on a weekly basis to cover the Facilities service that normally operates Monday to Friday, 0700 – 1730 hours. You will be educated to GSCE level in English and Maths or equivalent and will be required to undergo in-house training and e-learning to enhance your skills for the role e.g. Health & Safety, fire, manual handling and GDPR.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 6 months as a secondment.
