You will be a confident leader, able to inspire others and be passionate about managing quality, insight-driven and customer focussed health and wellbeing services.

This is a varied and fast-paced position, you will oversee a range of health and wellbeing services and projects around increasing physical activity, managing a healthy weight and smoking cessation. You will be supported to deliver this by managing a team of skilled professionals as well as gaining additional support from a peer management group from colleagues in similar positions across Suffolk.

We are looking for someone who can bring creative thinking, excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience in service management, support and delivery to help us deliver our responsibilities for health and wellbeing services.

Your roles and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of Sport and Leisure, Sport and Leisure Services Manager and key internal stakeholders to ensure our health and wellbeing services meet the intended objectives.
  • Manage partnership working and stakeholder engagement to ensure information sources relating to the new services and opportunities are well understood and promoted in Ipswich.
  • Integrate the existing offers and pathways in the Sport and Leisure service that are aligned to the health and wellbeing agenda to ensure residents receive an effective, customer-focussed service.
  • Lead projects within the programme of work as necessary to meet the prescribed deadlines.
  • Contribute knowledge and support to the Suffolk system.

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.

An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post.

The selection process will be an interview. Interviews will be held on week commencing Monday 15th January 2023.

The assessment interview process will be carried out remotely via Skype for Business, Microsoft teams or in person.
