Job Description

We are looking to recruit one independent person to be a member of our Audit and Governance Committee.

The role of the Audit and Governance Committee is to oversee the Council’s arrangements for managing its financial affairs and risk, financial reporting and internal and external audit processes.

Day to day

You will be expected to attend meetings of the Committee as and when required and, in a non-voting capacity, assist the Committee in carrying out its duties.

About you

The ideal candidate should have an interest in local government and public service with financial risk management and audit experience. You must not or have been in the last five years a councillor or employee of any borough, district, parish or county council or have a close relative or friend employed by the Council.
