Park Patrol Duty Supervisor

Part-time Position

You will be required to supervise and coordinate a team of Park Patrol Officers providing a mobile patrol service throughout all parks, cemeteries, open spaces and allotments ensuring a high standard of order by service users, maintaining standards of safety and security and acting as a deterrent to anti-social behaviour.

Job Description

We currently have an opportunity available to join our Park Patrol Team who work Monday to Sunday, including evenings.

Day to day

You will be required to supervise and coordinate a team of Park Patrol Officers providing a mobile patrol service throughout all parks, cemeteries, open spaces and allotments ensuring a high standard of order by service users, maintaining standards of safety and security and acting as a deterrent to anti-social behaviour.

Maintaining standards of safety and security and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices to deter anti-social behaviour (dog fouling and litter enforcement) is an important aspect of the role.

About you

You should have:

  • Supervisory experience.
  • Relevant Health and Safety knowledge, excellent customer care and organisational skills.
  • A valid current UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • A First Aid at Work certificate and knowledge of parks and open spaces within Ipswich would be desirable.
  • You will have experience in delivering excellent customer care in a frontline service, be able to work in all weather conditions and have the ability to establish a good relationship with members of the public.

This post is offered on a fixed-term basis for 6 months. 

Hours of work are 18 per week, Evenings and Weekends.
