Ipswich Borough Council’s Park Patrol Team are responsible for ensuring the safety of visitors and upkeep of all parks & open spaces around Ipswich seven days a week.

Our work is not only limited to parks, it also extends to allotments, cemeteries, play areas and recreation grounds. Whether it be deterring antisocial behaviour, locking and unlocking parks, litter picking, dealing with public enquires, working alongside other departments or carrying out play area inspections; no two days working on Park Patrol are the same.

Our opening times are maximised to offer the opportunity to as many people as possible access to our outside spaces. We are looking for someone who can work weekdays as well as alternate evenings and weekends.

You will be quick thinking and able to use your own initiative. You will be physically capable of carrying out foot patrols over long distances and you will possess a sound knowledge of using Microsoft applications and smart phone technology.  A full driving licence is essential.
