The post holder will work across the housing advice teams to assist with government data submissions and respond to freedom of information requests.

Reporting to the Policy and Strategy Officer, the role will support the development of the Housing, Homelessness and Rough Sleeping strategies and the action plan that drives the strategies and ensures objectives are being met.

Housing Advice at the Council has four main functions:

  • Manage the Housing Register and allocate Council tenancies
  • Prevention of Homelessness and determination of Homelessness Applications
  • Provision of Temporary accommodation for Homeless Households
  • Development and delivery of the Housing Strategies and Policies

This role will support the work of the wider teams as they prevent and relieve homelessness, provide a high standard of temporary accommodation and the Gateway to Homechoice applications process and allocation of social housing tenancies. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills in data analysis in an interesting and important area of work, making a difference to local service delivery.

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday. The post will be hybrid with days in the office to be agreed.

This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
