Full-time Position

Undertake the review and development of Housing Strategy and Policy helping to ensure that the housing needs of the Borough are assessed.

Working from home and Grafton House in Ipswich you will assist in the review of policy and procedures, provide briefing papers on key housing issues and liaise with developers regarding the need for them to provide affordable housing.

Undertake the review and development of Housing Strategy and Policy helping to ensure that the housing needs of the Borough are assessed.

Working from home and Grafton House in Ipswich you will assist in the review of policy and procedures, provide briefing papers on key housing issues and liaise with developers regarding the need for them to provide affordable housing.

The fixed term post will help to ensure that Ipswich Borough Council are both effective and compliant with regards to the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023 in addition to any other legislation that formulates regulatory requirements to be met. This role will provide clear policy structure and guidance to the management team whilst ensuring that they compliment the high level of service we provide for Ipswich Tenants.

Educated to A level or equivalent standard you should have an understanding of housing and experience of policy work.

Experience of working in Local Government and acknowledge of Section 106 planning conditions and how they apply to Affordable Housing would be an advantage.

The selection process will be an interview including a presentation on Friday the 18th of August.

The assessment interview process will be carried out remotely via Skype for Business, Microsoft teams or in person.
