We are seeking two highly motivated individuals to join our Arborist team on a fixed-term basis. 

Ipswich Borough Arbs team are responsible for carrying out the full spectrum of tree surgery works for both IBC and external clients such as Suffolk County Council.

This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 6 months from commencement of employment.

You will be required to demonstrate that you are reliable, self-motivated, well organised, possess good communication skills and able to prioritise your work, whilst working in a public facing environment.

Being a team player is essential to this role whilst being able to follow and update risk assessments for each site when applicable.

You will have experience in tree surgery including climbing, chipping, chainsaw use, crown lifts and a keen eye for detail, and have a good level of health and safety awareness in relation to these operations.

You will have a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification / skills / experience and ideally have a recognised qualification related to machine use, i.e. chainsaw.

You will be using a full range of machinery along with associated daily maintenance and will also be required to carry out manual tasks such as considerable bending, lifting and walking.

You will be required to support your supervisor and lead operative grade staff in your team.

A full UK driving licence is required for this post. 

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
