Ipswich has secured £25m from the Towns Fund which will provide the core public investment to make large scale changes to the local economy. The objective of the Fund is to drive the economic regeneration of towns to deliver long term economic and productivity growth through urban regeneration, planning and land use, skills and enterprise infrastructure and improving connectivity through developing local transport schemes that complement regional and national networks, as well as supporting the delivery of improved digital connectivity.

The Towns Fund Programme Manager will be:

  • Working closely with the Head of Economic Development & Towns Fund to monitor the delivery of Ipswich’s 10 Towns Fund projects
  • Ensuring reports are provided to the Town Deal Board and Central Govt
  • Ensuring key deadlines are met

The successful applicant will need to work closely with partners across various sectors to deliver this change.

It is expected that the successful candidate will have excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to deliver outcomes to tight deadlines.

This post is offered on a fixed term contract for 2 years to undertake this specific piece of work.

The individual should be flexible in their approach, with excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workloads & deal with conflicting demands.

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
