The historic Corn Exchange is part of Ipswich’s impressive Town Hall and when used as a theatre has adaptable seating for 800. The venue presents a very wide variety of events, with everything from concerts and conferences to wrestling and darts.

This role is an integral part of what we do. You will assist the Shows and Finance team with all areas of the back-office administration and finance processing.
This role requires you to be focused and interested in learning all aspects of our finance processes, box office management, and systems.
What we’re looking for
You will need to demonstrate a can-do attitude, work to tight deadlines and be a strong communicator. The workload is varied throughout the year and some flexibility in working patterns is expected to ensure tasks are completed on time.
You’ll need a very good level of IT knowledge, and strong organisational skills – our venues host over 300 performances and events a year, and shows are often set up and tracked up to two years in advance. Managing time will help with this so if you are methodical and organised in your work life, this could be the next position for you.
A strong understanding of financial systems and experience in managing and monitoring procurement and invoicing are a must for this position, as you will be overseeing some areas of our financial process.
Forward planning is key to this role and strong communication is an integral part of insuring information is accurately communicated to the wider team, and to our customers.
The shows and finance team is a small but important part of the theatres and events operation. We work closely with one another and with external show promoters, producers and ticketing agencies. Attention to detail and keeping accurate records is an important part of what we do.

A-level standard or equivalent experience in a theatre finance environment.
Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
