This vacancy is being recruited by Ipswich Borough Council, the postholder will work wholly to support the Safe Suffolk Renters project by providing data led intelligence, working together, as a team with other project officers at each Council.
Job Description
The Suffolk Councils are delighted to have secured £2.3M of funding from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) to deliver a 2-year programme focussed on private rented homes across our County.
The Safe Suffolk Renters project is building a growing team of key stakeholders to help with engagement, data, marketing and communications, training, and research into outcomes.
All the work will lead to an improvement in standards in the private rented homes and a better understanding of the pressures and problems in the sector. We currently have an opportunity to join the project as an Intelligence Officer working 37 hours per week on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
Being a member of this dynamic team will provide key experience in being part of an area-based project with the community at the heart of its objectives. This role will provide a unique opportunity to gain experience in working proactively to empower tenants and property professionals by engagement and effective multi-agency working.
Whilst this vacancy is being recruited by Ipswich Borough Council, the postholder will work wholly to support the Safe Suffolk Renters project by providing data led intelligence, working together, as a team with other project officers at each Council. Your role will be key in identifying analysing and collating intelligence and you will be the key point of contact for the receipt, recording and dissemination of intelligence to the Suffolk Council’s as part of the project.
We are looking for individuals with the ability to analyse and assess information, with excellent interpersonal skills and to work effectively with other project officers.

The selection process will be an interview. Interviews will be held on 28th August 2023.
The assessment interview process will be carried out remotely via Skype for Business, Microsoft teams or in person.
