Revenues and Benefits Apprentice 

Full-time Position

This exciting Advanced Apprenticeship opportunity involves providing administrative support to the Council Tax and Business Rates teams in the Shared Revenues Partnership. You will be part of an essential service to Ipswich, Babergh and Mid Suffolk Councils and the residents of the Councils areas.

Job Description

Day to day

As an Apprentice in our busy and friendly Shared Revenues and Benefits Partnership, you will gain valuable experience in carrying out a range of administrative duties, whilst working towards a recognised Advanced Apprenticeship qualification. Working in a confidential environment, your role will involve updating customer accounts, dealing with correspondence and researching & preparing casework.

This Apprenticeship is 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday and is offered on a fixed term for 2 years. The post is based at Grafton House in Ipswich.

About you

  • You will have 5 GCSE’s at grade A*-C, including English & Maths, and have a good eye for detail, especially when it comes to numbers and statistics.
  • You will be well organised, have good written & verbal communication skills and be a flexible team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You will be committed to successfully completing your Apprenticeship with us.
