Job Description

To keep up the high standards of our programme, we are currently looking for exceptional people, qualified in Level 1 and Level 2 teaching swimming, to join our team of inspirational instructors.

Based from Crown Pools and Fore Street Pool, we run a comprehensive and exciting swimming lesson programme, offering provision from pre-school through to adult lessons. To run a programme that is best in the business, we need talented and passionate coaches and instructors to help our customers learn this vital and fun life skill.

We currently offer 160 lessons every week to children and young people and adults, designed to teach safety and life skills in the water as well as swimming to keep fit. We also deliver a number of specialist courses such as snorkelling, synchronised swimming and rookie lifesaving.

Day to day

Working in a busy pool environment you will teach a variety of swimming lessons, ensure that the correct equipment is available before and after the class, along with helping to establish and maintain a fantastic customer experience. This role will involve weekends and bank holiday working and flexibility in the hours worked to fit in with the pool programme.

About you

We are looking are looking for fully qualified Swimming Instructors who thrive on providing energetic and educational swimming lessons to a range of ages and abilities by following specified session plans. You must have the ability to encourage and motivate groups of children and adults, be organised, communicate well, and be self-motivated.

 Hours and basis

We are currently looking to fill several regular programme shifts. All opportunities can be offered either on a permanent or fixed term basis (till September 2023). We are also interested in hearing from instructors that would be interested in more casual work.

Current vacant shifts are:

Fridays 4pm-5:30pm

Saturdays 8am – 10:30am

Saturdays 8am – 11am

Saturdays 11am – 2pm

Saturdays 2pm – 5pm

Sundays (various available)
